"We are committed to turning your costs into profits"
The unique ProTech bearing isolator was developed to overcome the design flaws of existing bearing isolators on the market. Improvements included using a PTFE material to provide superior chemical resistance and eliminate bearing killing metallic dusting. A unitized two-piece construction was incorporated to make installation simple. For unmatched two-way sealing, zero lubricant leakage and total exclusion of contaminants, a sophisticated internal labyrinth was designed. This allows ProTech to exclude contaminates without using an internal o-ring as the primary sealing component. The ability to handle higher amounts of shaft run out was also a concern. Since internal o-rings were avoided, as much as .020” misalignment can be accommodated without damaging the seal.
All ProTech bearing isolators feature the following:
• PTFE materials for chemical resistance and low torque consumption
• Fewer working components
• Significantly lower cost
• Easier to install than traditional bearing isolators
• Accommodates greater shaft misalignment and eccentricity
• Self-aligning
• Requires no lubrication
• Non-contact design for no wear and no heat generation
• Total exclusion of dust, water, and other contaminants
• Zero lubricant leakage
