Parker Hannifin’s ProTech 360 combines bearing isolator and PTFE lip seal technology which provides the ability to seal both vertical and horizontal flooded applications by utilizing a unitized two piece cartridge design. Its versatility makes it the “Powerhouse” of the ProTech line. ProTech 360 combines a PTFE stator with dual contacting seal elements that seal against an internal 316SS sleeve that rotates with the shaft. Included in the design is a labyrinth that excludes contaminates, allowing the seal lips to operate in a very clean environment. The clean operating conditions created by the seal allow the contacting lips to last significantly longer than traditional lip seals. The ability to seal in flooded oil conditions, a self contained wear surface, and a built in labyrinth for contaminate exclusion is why more and more gear box manufacturers are offering ProTech as an OEM seal.
